The Avatar Symbiotic Society project aims to realize society free from the limitations of body, brain, space, and time, which allows everyone, including vulnerable people, to perform active social roles without constraint. Through the teleoperation of cyber avatars, the user’s actions, intentions and reactions can be transmitted in any type of scenario and social activity (work, education, medical care, daily life, etc.). By 2050, our lifestyles will have dramatically changed and technological advances will have enhanced our abilities: we will have greater freedom in our choice of location and how we spend our time, implementing an avatar-symbiosis within a balanced future society.

The objective of the First Japan-Spain Symposium is to introduce the Avatar Symbiotic Sociery and the Social PIA Project to all the academic community and general public and discuss about the different points of view of this new paradigm.
