Improve your skills in Industry 4.0 and boost your business!

This course presents the different aspects needed for you to know the implications of the different technologies of Industry 4.0 in your company. It is focused, above all, on understanding how to approach digital transformation from a strategic point of view and see how it can be applied to different business processes and models. In addition, it will also help you acquire the basic skills that will allow you to move forward in its implementation.

During the course you will deal with issues related to the following topics:

• The concept of Industry 4.0, trends and associated technological disciplines to help improve the competitiveness of the company.
• Support tools and diagnostic mechanisms to reflect on the starting point and priorities of the company.
• Experiences, real cases and applications of the various technologies in specific business challenges.
• Offer of technological capabilities related to industry 4.0 available in Catalonia.
• Public support mechanisms to encourage the implementation of Industry 4.0 in companies, especially SMEs.

The course consists of thirteen sessions and 39 hours of duration divided into 3 modules: 1. Strategy; 2. Get to know the Technologies associated with Industry 4.0; 3. Implement. Mechanisms to support Industry 4.0. They will be given virtually on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m., from May 17 to June 30.

Some of the sessions of the course will offer, if the measures and restrictions of COVID 19 allow it, the possibility for those attending the course to carry out the session in person.

The sessions of the second module of the course that deal with the technologies associated with Industry 4.0 are taught mainly by the coordinators and partners of the Digital Innovation Hub of Catalonia-DIH4CAT.

Course participants will have the opportunity to visit the infrastructures for testing and experimenting with Industry 4.0 projects that bring together partners from the 7 technological areas of DIH4CAT: Artificial Intelligence, Supercomputing, Cybersecurity, Intelligent Connectivity, Additive Manufacturing and 3D printing, Robotics and advanced manufacturing and Photonics.
