The aim of this course is to present and study, in detail, the main concepts, technologies and methodologies surrounding the idea of the connected vehicle in the era of data, digitisation and Industry 4.0. To this end, five key pillars will be worked on transversally: i) cyber-physical systems, ii) the Internet of Things (IoT), iii) cybersecurity, iv) Big Data and v) Artificial Intelligence.
For a better assimilation of the concepts, the theory will be regularly complemented with practical sessions that will allow attendees to develop, implement and validate the concepts presented through different real cases.
Each participant will receive a kit to work with during the course. Once the course is finished, this material will become the property of each student in order to continue learning. Students must have an up-to-date laptop computer to be able to attend the classes.
The different sessions of the course are oriented and prepared to deal with the data chain from its creation, capture and extraction (at the physical level on the vehicle side), through its delivery and storage in an advanced digital platform to, finally, its efficient processing for intelligent, immediate and secure decision making.
Specifically, we find the following objectives:
The achievement of these objectives will enable participants to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to work excellently around the connected vehicle concept. This knowledge and skills will facilitate decision making when acquiring new equipment or infrastructure, as well as the development of new automated systems for data extraction and subsequent analysis, thus being able to define and implement the necessary flows to finally extract valuable information and support intelligent decision making.
In addition, an optional introductory session is offered on the treatment and processing of data using the Python programming language and its resources.
Professionals who want to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to work around the concept of the connected vehicle. This knowledge and skills will facilitate decision-making when acquiring new material or infrastructure, as well as the development of new automated systems for data extraction and subsequent analysis, thus being able to define and implement the necessary flows to finally extract valuable information and support intelligent decision-making.
