Phase 1: Disruptive innovation group sessions

The participating companies will be able to attend four group work sessions to explore how to innovate and generate disruptive initiatives through exponential technologies.

Techniques such as design thinking, gamification and other methods encourage the generation of ideas from a new perspective and promote the creation of an environment conducive to innovation. A key aspect of the disruptive innovation workshops is their practical, action-geared nature.

The four workshops will be held accross two physical seminars:

  • 15 Novembre, sessions 1 and 2
    • Introduction: the new mindset and leadership in the digital era
    • New business models and startup strategies
  • 22 November, sessions 3 and 4
    • Digital strategy evolution methodologies
    • Metrics and funding for projects

An opportunity to experiment, prototype and test new ideas in a controlled environment, encouraging iteration and continuous learning. These group sessions allow emerging solutions to be validated and fine-tuned before their implementation, with the provision of guidance, resources and technical support to ensure that the participants get the most out of the experience.

Phase 2: Individual in-company workshops

In addition to the group sessions, some selected companies will attend four individual in-company workshops, during which they’ll be able to validate their ideas with the collaboration of experts from different thematic areas. They’ll have access to emerging technologies and connect with other innovation-related initiatives in the regional, national and international fields.

The themes of the four workshops, to be delivered in June, will be as follows:

  • Workshop 1: From the idea to the business model. How to transform an idea into a concrete business model.
  • Workshop 2: From the business model to the customer. How to validate the target public and how the marketing and sales strategy is focused.
  • Workshop 3: From the customer to the business case. The resources required to create your business model?
  • Workshop 4: From the business case to the go-to-market. How to plan and execute the final stage of your business development.

The Disruptive innovation and exponentiality workshops are aimed at Catalan companies with digitization projects that want to create new disruptive initiatives. The disruptive innovation group sessions are limited to 40 places. A maximum of 20 of the above will be selected to attend the individual in-company workshops. If the number of applications exceeds the places available or if it has to choose the participants in the individual workshops, ACCIÓ will select the attendees upon the basis of the prioritization criteria established by the Open Innovation and Disruption area. The company’s digitization or disruptive innovation project and the management team’s commitment to it will be assessed, among other factors.
