Transport and mobility are fundamental to the sustainability objectives promoted by the United Nations and the European Union. The digitalisation of processes involved in the planning and management of transport and mobility is one of the key drivers for the efficient transformation of a sector that is among the largest contributors to greenhouse gas emissions.
Transport and mobility require multidisciplinary professionals capable of using data sources, processing, managing, and exploiting them, complementing traditional practices in the transport and mobility sector with the new opportunities offered by Data Science.
New forms of transport such as car-sharing, car-pooling, and Mobility as a Service (MaaS) require professionals with the skills to handle large volumes and diverse types of data.
This course is a complement for professionals already working in the sector and an opportunity for recent graduates to understand the processes and characteristics of smart cities, with the aim of acquiring knowledge in the fundamentals of data science and computer science in order to interpret, select, assess, and apply new mathematical, analytical, scientific, and technological concepts and developments related to Mobility and Transport.
