Yet, despite these potential benefits, not all small and medium enterprises (SMEs) have the capacity to undertake digital transformation. Last year, three out of five SMEs in Europe reached a basic level of digitalization, according to Eurostat data. However, a small percentage of companies successfully adopted emerging technologies (e.g., only 5% of EU SMEs used 3D printing, and only 6% used robots). How to make it work?
