Digitalisation is significantly changing the way companies operate and compete in the market, and, consequently, it is also transforming the way they interact with their customers. Digitalisation is enabling companies to automate processes, improve efficiency, and deliver new and innovative products and services.

In this context, organisations that leverage large volumes of data have begun to extend business data analytics to core commercial, operational, and production functions, as well as to finance and areas related to people and talent management. However, most professionals working in these fields do not possess the technological skills required to adapt to this transformation, nor do they have sufficient training to take advantage of the enormous opportunities that data analytics offers in their workplaces.

According to an Accenture report, in 2022, 51% of companies highlighted the importance of upskilling and reskilling programmes to equip their employees with the competencies needed to adapt to the changes taking place in the labour market. Against this backdrop, the Postgraduate course in Business Analytics was created with the aim of enhancing professionals’ skills and aligning them more closely with the new demands arising from digitalisation. Upon completion of the programme, participants will have acquired the key competencies needed to apply data analytics in a business environment.

Throughout the programme, participants will learn how to harness the potential of data to improve business operations and provide the analytical added value that today’s organisations increasingly require. The teaching team will support students’ learning through the use of some of the most innovative and effective data analytics tools, including programming tools (SQL, KNIME, R, and Python), as well as business intelligence tools (Tableau, Power BI).
