The DIH4CAT (https://dih4cat.cat/es/) organizes a series of sectorial workshops, distributed throughout the territory, to help SMEs identify and face the common challenges and their value chain thanks to the incorporation of the most advanced technologies. This third workshop aims to reflect and make visible the main operational and technological challenges presented by the automotive and metal sector and analyze how the most advanced technologies can provide an answer. The reflection will be carried out jointly with the network of Digital Innovation Nodes of the Digital Innovation Hub of Catalonia.

Objectiu de l'acte

The main objectives of the workshops are:

– Identify the main sectoral challenges facing SMEs, whether they are common challenges or at the level of their value chain.

– To know the possibilities offered by the different most advanced technologies and the real opportunities for improvement that they can suppose for the SMEs.

– Know the capabilities and competencies of the network of Digital Innovation Nodes as centers and reference entities of innovation specialized in the 7 areas of most advanced technologies: Artificial Intelligence, Supercomputing, Cybersecurity, Smart Connectivity , Additive Manufacturing and 3D Printing, Robotics and Advanced Manufacturing and Photonics.

– Identify and conceptualize new R & D & I projects in the hands of the Nodes to activate the opportunities for improvement detected and to take advantage of the different sources of funding available.
