30 Catalan companies will have their own stands within the Generalitat’s spaces at the latest edition of the IoT Solutions World Congress (IoTSWC). The event, held from May 10 to 12 at the Fira de Barcelona Gran Via, will allow these companies to showcase their solutions at a world-class exhibition. They will participate in areas organized by ACCIÓ – the agency for business competitiveness under the Department of Business and Employment – and the Department of the Vice Presidency and Digital Policies and Territory. This year, the IoTSWC will take place alongside the Barcelona Cybersecurity Congress, coinciding in time and location with Integrated Systems Europe (ISE), Europe’s most significant audiovisual sector event, scheduled from May 10 to 13 at the same venue.
Specifically, 20 Catalan companies will be located in the Generalitat of Catalonia’s pavilion at the IoTSWC, organized by ACCIÓ. Additionally, Digital Policies will organize two parallel sessions – one in person and one online – focusing on Artificial Intelligence.
Taking advantage of the IoT Solutions World Congress, ACCIÓ is organizing Industry 4.0 Tech Tours. These tours, lasting an hour and a half, will provide insights into current trends, solutions, and technologies related to the Internet of Things, transforming today’s factories into smart factories.
The tour includes a guided visit to the stands of companies offering the most innovative solutions in Industry 4.0 and advanced manufacturing. Participants will also receive advice and information to further explore other exhibitors based on their interests in specific technologies and sectors. Registration for the Industry 4.0 Tech Tours is still open through this link.
As part of the IoT Solutions World Congress, ACCIÓ is also organizing a Brokerage Event. This networking activity will facilitate 20-minute bilateral meetings, both in person and online, to establish new contacts and find local and international partners for commercial relationships and collaborative technology and business projects.
Over 100 meetings are expected to take place, involving both Catalan and international companies. ACCIÓ is organizing the IoTSWC Brokerage Event as part of the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) project, which includes more than 600 business support organizations across 66 countries.
During the IoT Solutions World Congress, as part of the Barcelona Cybersecurity Congress organized by Fira de Barcelona and the Catalan Cybersecurity Agency (ACC), the report “Cybersecurity in Catalonia” will be presented. Prepared by ACCIÓ in collaboration with the ACC, the report will discuss key growth trends, potential attack types, available protective technologies, and successful case studies in Catalonia.
