In an age where information is abundant and news consumption has become multimedia platforms, the need for efficient summarization tools has become more pronounced than ever.

The project, led by Eurecat, with the participation of the Computer Vision Center and the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, embarks on a transformative journey to the intersection of technology and journalism, introducing cutting-edge automatic tools designed for comprehensive summarization of video content and dynamic illustration, all driven by the power of deep learning methods.

The development of this project goes beyond simple summarization, as it recognizes the critical role of illustration in enhancing comprehension. Using advanced deep learning techniques, we aim to dynamically generate visual representations that encapsulate the key elements of the news.

The results of the project allow enriching the consumer experience and also enable content creators to convey complex information with clarity and impact. In short, this presentation will show the results of the creation of innovative tools for new forms of storytelling, revolutionizing the way we interact with news in the digital age.

In this session, CIDAI, in collaboration with 3Cat will present the results and knowledge acquired during the execution of one of the High Impact Projects where multimodal generative AI tools have been used.
