Sixsenso, Alter Technology TÜV NORD, Iberosolve and ASE-Optics collaborate in the WATERSENSE project to develop a modular, portable and cost-effective device capable of rapidly assessing contamination in water samples in situ.
This innovative technology provides laboratory results in a rapid manner, complying with current operational protocols and regulations. It is estimated to take < 5 min for phytoplankton and < 3 hours for bacteria, as opposed to 24 hours or several days for laboratory cultures.
The project has been coordinated by secpho and funded by the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism and the European Union-Next Generation EU, within the support programme for Innovative Business Groups, which aims to digitise industry.
If you are interested in finding out more about the project, you can consult it in our ‘Success stories‘ section of our website, as well as attend the results presentation event where the participating companies will explain in detail the development of the project.
